We are both looking to capture some new ideas and styles and we need your little ones. We are looking for boys and girls ages 6 months (must be able to sit up on their own) to 4 years.

If interested please email a LOW resolution, photo of your child to info@trueexpressionsphotography.com. Title the email "Casting Call" and be sure to include your child's age in the body of the email.

Meet Miss Faith. This little one is a friend of mines fourth little one, and I swear everytime we get together for pictures we always seem to have too much crazy fun. My little man joined us for this portrait session and let me tell you, I think the studio has seen better days. Between mine and hers, they had way too much fun with all of the props! You know those pictures that you look at that just make you smile....well here are some! I swear every time I look at these pictures I can't help but grin from ear to ear. I love one year pictures, because they are just so much fun, but they are also kind of sad. Most of my one year babies I have photographed multiple times since they were in the belly and see them lots throughout their first year and I know that once they are one I will not be able to see them every few months anymore. :(

So, rumor has it that daddy "loves" this pink outfit which is actually the same gown that this little ones momma came home from in the hospital. I just knew I had to share at least one sneak of little miss in the gown, since daddy loved it so much! :)

Saturday, a very good friend of my husbands was involved in a boat explosion off Tampa Bay with their entire family (his 2 sisters and their family, his family and his parents). This story has made national news recently because of how horrible of an accident it was. We talked with the family last night and although we are so unbelievably thankful everyone is alive, there are 4 adults and 1 child who is still very critical. Prayer is our most important form of healing, so if you have a moment please send a prayer towards this family. They are such a close family who was spending time doing what they love...enjoying the water.

Thank you for any prayer or thought you have to offer to them and we hope to see them up skiing again soon! :)

I met this family a couple years ago when we did little man's sister's belly pictures. (In fact...one of these pictures is currently hanging in the studio.) We always are able to do lots of fun artistic shots and this shoot was no exception. Little man did awesome for his first photo shoot and made sure to even let me know that he is gonna be a REALLY good eater. Of course...I have to show of the little girl who I first began photographing with this family....isn't she adorable?

Miss B. We had a contest going for our spring shots for any who came to pictures in something from Ella's Children's Boutique. Well it was an obvious choice, because not only did she come in something from Ella's...she came HEAD TO TOE in Ella's. I think this momma loves this new boutique about as much as I do. Isn't this shot adorable. I love her little face...makes my heart melt. Miss B's momma will have the choice of choosing a free 16x20 from the shoot or a free session. With a shot like this....that is a tough choice!

I know I have disappeared for a while. I got online to post this blog and was shocked at the date I last posted. It has been busy, busy. Of course when it rains it pours! Right before we started our bunny pics I got hit with a wave of new babies, then of course got hit with another wave as we were finishing up our final shoot of bunnies. Late last week we sent out a email for our bunny event and it has been crazy ever since. Our bunnies are our most popular event and within just a couple of days we have pretty much filled the whole event. Craziness.

I am SO EXCITED to be sharing the news that a new children's boutique is on their way in to Old Town Spring. I swear I get asked daily for one close by. They will be having their Grand Opening this weekend (Saturday, March 7th) at the Spring Fest this weekend so be sure to go and check it out. She took me for a tour last week and I am IN LOVE. She has lots of great stuff. (Clothing, Furniture, Accessories...you name it!) She even has very cool and trendy boy stuff...you know that makes me happy. I know I have been bad at blogging again, but I have been pulling all nighters (sounds like I'm in college again) to get my new website up. I am happy to say that it is FINALLY up...so if you have not seen it go and check it out. It has lots of new pictures on there, so be sure to check and see if you see any familiar faces.

On a side note, I would like you to meet this little man. I met this family when his sister was born and I have had lots of fun photographing her throughout her life. I love being able to photograph families and watch as their family grows and changes over time. I think it is truly rewarding. We had lots of fun doing pictures of the new little brother and were even able to snag a few with him and his sister. (Mom, I know you have been patiently waiting so enjoy...he has lots of great shots!)

I love when it starts to warm up after winter. It is always so nice outside and I get lots of new opportunites for outdoor pictures. After doing lots of indoor, it is a good break. I LOVE newborn pictures. They truly are my favorite style of portraits and I literally could shoot a brand new baby all day long if I could. During the holidays I found some new angel wings, that I just knew I had to have. Well, I just got them in a couple of weeks ago and I have been dying to try them out so I called up one of my little cuties and she of course made a very cute angel baby. First of all, let me tell you that I LOVE when people bring along cute hats to thier session. I could photograph a baby in a hat all day. I love how all babies look in hats, especially this happy baby. This was Mr. J's 3 month shoot and I think he loves the camera and has a future modeling career. For his newborn pictures, he had other things in mind then having his picture taken, but he sure did ham it up for this shoot. We even got sleeping pictures. I can't wait to see Mr. J again for 6 months. Enjoy the pics mom and dad...he's a cutie.

We started outside with a couple of shots and moved indoors when the mosquitoes decided we were for breakfast. I am so glad we did because I LOVE a lot if his indoor pictures. This last weekend I went with my family to Austin to do some portrait sessions and it was well worth it. No gas lines, stocked grocery stores and the news was not on repeat! It was a good break from all of this mess we had here in Houston.

One of the sessions we did was for Mr. L who is turning one this Sunday. His eyes have always photographed awesome since he was born...a photographers dream. No matter what type of light, his eyes light up and are the most beautiful shade of blue. I have watched this one grow over this past year and he has changed so much. This past session I swear he has lost that baby look and he has more of that "little boy" look. Enjoy the pictures of this gorgeous little boy and Happy First Birthday Mr. L!

Putting Ike in the past...

Well we are starting to get back to normal. We were back in the studio today and although we now have power we still are without internet. I have been told that there is no way to know when it will be back, so until then we will be doing our best to keep up with emails and proofing. I have been working late to try to get everything up and going since we are now a week behind from Mr. Ike.

On a side note, Here are some beautiful bellies that were in the studio before the storm. We had lots of maternity sessions latley and I am so excited to meet the new little ones that follow. Enjoy the pictures and sorry they are a little behind....

After the storm (UPDATE).....

Oh my goodness....I feel for everyone out there who was affected by this crazy storm. I never fully prepared myself for the after effects of this storm. I want to let everyone know though that we are ok and very blessed to only receive minor damage to our home. We are very lucky to have no damage at the studio, but that area was hit very hard and I feel for all the shops around us that were flooded or hit by trees. Power is still out, so I want to let everyone know that the studio will be closed thru Wednesday. Hopefully, power will be restored by then along with the water receding and the trees removed from the roads. I have tried to call all of our appointments this week during those times, but unfortunately phone service is still not quite back to normal. If you have an appointment during this time please call us to reschedule. The phones are being forwarded to my cell, so if I do not answer please leave a message and I will be sure to call you as soon as possible.

I wish everyone the best and I pray that everything will return to normal as soon as possible.

EXCITING NEWS...

We are so excited to let everyone know that we are in our new studio. This new studio has been a big goal of ours and we are loving our new bigger and better space. The studio is located in the historic Old Town Spring and is the perfect location with lots of close outdoor areas to photograph at as well.

Our new studio features a viewing room, gallery, and 2 shooting rooms. We have been working for a little over a month getting this place ready to go and I am in LOVE with how great it has turned out. Our long days and late nights have definitely paid off. Here are some pictures of our new studio. Enjoy and we welcome anyone and everyone to come on by.

Sorry for a little bit of a blog delay, but I had to go in for surgery to have a kidney stone that according to my doctor was bigger then a "jelly belly" removed and then have 2 stints put in. All I have to say is....the past few days have been slow moving for me and I really can not wait until the after effects of this little nuisance goes away. I feel for anyone who has ever had to have surgery to get one these things removed! They are definitely not fun.

Anyways...I am having a few ok moments so I wanted to get up some pictures. This little man was bound and determined to show me that he could pose himself much better then I could pose him....and boy was he strong. His mom said he was an active one in the belly and I believe it. His big brother was so sweet with him and even let me put his new brother in his lap with only his birthday suit on. Luckily we had no accidents! Enjoy the pictures of these two little ones.

Two Little Men...

I always have a soft spot in my heart for boys because of my little one, especially two boys. I have always loved photographing brothers...I don't know if it is their "special bond" they share when they are little or what...but looking back at these pictures just made my heart melt. Both of them did awesome...even when it started to sprinkle outside. I have too may favs on this session..every picture just seemed too adorable. I know I have been using my new buggy prop a lot latley, but I LOVE it. Especially when someone thinks its a car and it works out to be a good bribe to get them in the picture! :) I played around in photoshop with the buggy picture for something different...I love the vintage feel.

This was not this little one's first photo shoot and she made sure she let me know that she can be the perfect model. The outdoor shots are my absolute favorites so I had to put lots of those on here. Can you believe this little one is only 6 months and can hold on and stand?? I think Miss A will be very talented when she grows up!

Miss K was the perfect photo session coming back from my little break. She was so good and I only heard her fuss when I rearranged her, but other than that a true model to photograph. She was bound and determined to watch the whole photo session, but luckily I wore her out and at the end she gave up and we were able to catch a few sleeping pictures. I absolutely LOVE her pictures. Isn't she gorgeous?!

It has almost been a year since my little man entered this world and I don't know where the time goes, but this year has flown by. Zane will turn one on Sunday, and I am in awe at how fast this year has gone by. It has been amazing watching him grow up and become a little man. I have watched (and of course photographed) how his smile has gotten bigger and his personality has grown stronger. He is a true angel and a blessing. He is my soul and my true love. Although he can drive me crazy I wouldn't change anything. His laughter and his tears....I try to embrace them daily and I hope to remember them forever. He is the love of my life. He is my little man. Happy first birthday, Zane. I wish you all the joy and happiness of life always and forever. I love you. mom.

Miss C was the perfect way to start a holiday weekend. She was the happiest baby and it was only in a rare moment that I did not see a smile on her face. To make the session even better she had rolls! (Those of you who know me...you know how much I like rolls!) As a lot of you know these past couple weeks have been so crazy as well as stressful due to my son being in the hospital. Luckily I had the perfect photo session to get my mind off of the past couple of weeks. I had so much fun doing pictures with this bride making this session one of my favorites this year. She let me pretty much do anything...even put her in front of orange construction fencing trusting me that I could remove it! Although, with or with out orange fencing she could make anything look good.

Well, Christina I know you have been DYING to see these so I hope you enjoy. By the way tell your Dad I couldn't even get it down to five for the blog so good luck picking one! :)

Tuesday evening my 7 month old son became very ill and we were admitted to to Texas Children's Hospital. He has since stabilized although he is still very sick. Due to this unknown event in my life all Mommy To Bee and Me pictures have not made it online yet and will be delayed about a day. I am truly sorry for this inconvenience and will be sure to get them online as soon as possible. We will be sure to update this post as soon as they go up online!

We're Growing!

True Expressions has been in business now since 2005 and from the beguinning I have always answered my own phones even though we have other people helping out in the office. I wanted to always feel connected and that seemed the best way to do so.

Well, in the past three years we have grown like crazy and I realized that I could not do it all.

With that being said I would like to introduce Kristina who will take on the job of True Expressions' Office Manager. Kristina is such a wonderful person you will LOVE her. Not only is she well versed in photography, she is well versed in being a mom. Being a mother of three she is sure to help you out with any questions to make your photo session a huge success.
